World Bank says cuts Russia’s GDP forecast to 8.9% fall in 2022
MOSCOW, Jun 7 (PRIME) -- The World Bank (WB) has reduced its forecast for Russia’s 2022 gross domestic product (GDP) to an 8.9% decrease from a 2.4% rise expected in January, the organization said in a report on Tuesday.
It also worsened its outlook for Russia’s GDP to a 2% decrease from a 1.8% rise in 2023.
The organization expects the Russian economy to rise by 2.2% in 2024.
